Charges a Macbook Pro but only at ~60w
Reviewed in India on 24 March 2020
The cable is sturdy and definitely looks like it would last long. It's a bit stiff unlike Apple's original cable. For the price (Rs 600 or so that paid) can't go wrong, when Apple wants Rs 2000+ for their cable and it isn't really available easily either.
However this cable charges at a max of around 64w (yes I tested with a power meter), however even Apple's 1m cable (which is actually rated for the iPad with an 18w power adapter) when connected to a 87w power adapter, charges my mac at around 85w.
I guess this isn't really an issue, just that it would charge the mac a tiny bit slower than your original cable.
(Please note the image is just to show the max power draw with this cable connected to an Apple 87w power adapter and a Macbook Pro (2018))
I'm revising my rating as the listing had clearly said it supports max 3A current which it's delivering. To charge faster than this, would need to get cable rated for 5A.
